Clyde Hendrick
My primary research interests are in the interdisciplinary field of close relationships. In collaboration with Susan S. Hendrick, over the past decade we have pursued a program of research revolving around love and sex attitudes. In work with doctoral students, we have studied how attitudes toward love and sexuality are linked to other aspects of close relations, such as self-disclosure, conflict styles, personality variables, communication modalities, and relationship satisfaction. I have a strong secondary interest in the writings of Charles S. Peirce, and in select areas of philosophy.
